Timothy Trimingham Lee
Born in Bermuda, Timothy is now based in London but he has extensive experience in the American as well as British theatre industries. His directing credits include: new plays, devised pieces, interdisciplinary work, physical theatre, puppetry, musicals, revivals of contemporary and classical plays, and theatre in education. His work has been nominated for Off West End Awards and seen at a range of venues including: the St. James Theatre, Riverside Studios, Theatre 503, the Old Red Lion, Upstairs at the Gatehouse, and the Menier Gallery in London; and, in the US: UNDER St. Marks and Theatre for a New City in New York City, and Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. As Joint Artistic Director of Flying Orchard, he has co-created site-responsive projects for The Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award-shortlisted company. He received his MA in Directing at Central School of Speech and Drama. Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts has frequently hired him to direct productions and teach acting. He is an associate of Theatre Studio London and a Drama League Directing Fellow. He is currently directing Dead Funny by Terry Johnson, which will be presented at the Old Red Lion in March.
